my 2nd and last BRN

Bunte Replublik Neustadt they called it. A short weekend, starting from Fri till Sunday when people are allowed to get thrashed and pissed around.

This is my second year at this street festival in Dresden. Some friend had found it boring, simply walking the streets with your pal (s) checking out the stalls selling the same stuff ranging from Bratwurst, beer, and Langos. maybe. For me, it is simply checking out how creative the Germans can get with the type of band setup, along the streets and a time to meet friends, catch up and drink on the streets. A major drinking scene.

有朋自远方来, ( a friend from far came to visit ) and weirdly enough, he asked 2 days before BRN : " Do you know this card game 'Da Lao Er?' "

Of course I do!!! Cho Dai Di! Our favourite Singaporean pastime! my expat group had been introduced to this game before during all those curry dinner parties.

So, this (was) the plan.. I shall try to paint some calligraphy shit, and we shall have a mission to spread this Asian game of Da Lao Er.

Looking back now after this BRN, we managed to introduced Da Lao Er to 3 Germans, 2 of which are acquaintances of Thilo's

But we met also this German who came forward to play this game with us, and he stayed in HangZhou for a year.

Not too bad..

On the sales front, embarassing results: 1 (forced) sale to Mas's colleague, Sebastian and 1 calligraphy piece in xchange for my toilette entry :)

Anyway, it was a quieter BRN, but it was still good nonetheless. More booze though.

COMING OCTOBER, THERE IS THE WORLDLY KNOWN OCTOBER FEST IN MUNICH. IT IS THE BIGGEST BEER FEST IN GERMANY. YOU BETTER START HANGING OUT WITH SOME CRAZY PEOPLE (BRITISH, IRISH, AMERICAN). THEY ARE FAR OUT!!
